New Jersey Remodeling Contractors

Are you interested in remodeling your kitchen in Bergen County NJ. Hire a New Jersey remodeling contractors for your NJ kitchen and get your project underway. There are many things you can do to enhance your NJ Kitchen remodeling project.

Remodeling your kitchen can be very easy if you have the right group of New Jersey remodeling contractors. Hire a company that has experience in remodeling kitchens. Your New Jersey remodeling  contractors should be able to provide you with references to the previous jobs that they have worked on that are similar to yours.

Your NJ kitchen remodeling can be a full or partial remodeling project. Depending on your budget, there are many things you can do to your existing kitchen without removing and replacing it entirely. If you just want to do a partial kitchen remodeling start with a fresh coat of wall paint. On top of this, you can even purchase cabinet refacing kits. After your New Jersey remodeling contractors or yourselves reface your kitchen cabinets, install new door cabinet knobs and even hinges. You will be amazed what a difference this can make.

Want to step it up a bit more, start by changing the appliances. The trend now is to install stainless steel type appliances and you can even change the oven hood. Another trick is to install a backsplash above your counter area. Go to a local tile supplier and view the tile that is appropriate for a backsplash. If you decide on a tile that you like, mention your New Jersey remodeling contractors that you are working with and maybe you can receive a contractor discount.

Depending on the extreme you want to go to, you may consider even installing new floor tile in your existing kitchen.

If you plan on removing the entire kitchen, have your NJ remodeling contractors provide full estimates and allowances for cabinets, countertops and appliances. Discuss the suppliers that they work with as well as the time frame it takes to complete your entire NJ kitchen remodeling.

If you have any questions, contact your New Jersey Remodeling Contractors.

Many New Jersey remodeling contractors receive requests for offers to install new base, door and window trim. As a NJ remodeling contractor, I have been working on homes for over 30 years. Both new and old home’s are always being modified  with trim work and moldings.

Install crown mouldings in your home and transform your rooms. Crown moulding installations can really change any room from dull to exciting and glamorous. Crown moulding  come in many sizes and designs. Have your New Jersey remodeling contractors supply you with crown moulding catalogue’s that show you many different types of crown mouldings offered. Another option to dress up your home is to have your New Jersey remodeling contractors install wall or ceiling mouldings. I highly recommend buying a few books that show only moulding ideas. You will see and get many new ideas about wall and ceiling moulding from specialty trimwork books. Wall and ceiling molding installations used to be very popular years ago. You will find many old homes with beautifully detailed wall and ceiling molding installations. Wall moulding installations have become very popular recently. Being a NJ Remodeling Contractor  customers have been requesting  for new wall moldings. A simple chair rail within your dining area can provide an accent in that room  and isn’t difficult to install. You may even have raised panel moldings installed throughout the same room. It is not uncommon these days to have wall moulding installed in up to 80 percent of your home.

Ceiling moulding installation’s can make your room look amazing. Any guest in your home will look in amazement at your ceiling moulding installation. A time consuming job for any New Jersey remodeling contractors, ceiling molding doesn’t come cheap. Its labor intensive and requires a skilled trim work installer to layout and build each step.

NEW JERSEY REMODELING CONTRACTORS – Bathroom Tiling Tips

Are you interested in hiring a New Jersey Remodeling Contractors to your bathroom tiling renovation. If so there are many ways to improve your bathroom without having to remove the entire bathroom and start from scratch. One way is to have your New Jersey Remodeling Contractors install new tiling around your existing tub.

If your bathroom needs to be freshened up, have your New Jersey Remodeling Contractors remove the tiling around your tub and reinstall new tiling. This can be done if your existing tub is in good condition. If it isn’t in good condition, you have a few choices. You can have your tub refaced professionally or you can have a plumber reinstall a new tub for you.

After you decide to have just your tile changed in your tub area,  your New Jersey Remodeling Contractors will remove the existing tile and the sheetrock underneath. Your New Jersey Remodeling Contractors will clean the wall area down to the wall studs in and around the original tile area only while the tub is in place.

After the wall area is clean, your New Jersey Remodeling Contractors will reinstall the necessary insulation if needed and then a water resistant wall board will be installed. Now your tub area is ready for the new tile installation. You will choose a style or pattern for your tiling installation. Your New Jersey Remodeling Contractors will install the tile in most case either in a square or diagonal pattern.

By applying the necessary glue to the wall area, your New Jersey Remodeling Contractors will install each tile one by one to the wall area. When he gets to the wall ends, he will cut the last pieces to fit and repeat the process for the next wall. Once the wall have dried, usually by the next day, your New Jersey Remodeling Contractors will come back and apply a grout to the tile joints. Each joint will be filled level with the tile. The grout will be washed and cleaned with a damp sponge until the wall is wiped clean. Your tub area now has new tile walls.

You may want to have your New Jersey Remodeling Contractors apply a grout sealant to the tile so the tile will be more resistant to staining or discoloring.

If you have any questions, contact your New Jersey Remodeling Contractors.

NEW JERSEY REMODELING CONTRACTORS- NJ Additions Tips

NEW JERSEY REMODELING CONTRACTORS

If interested in hiring New Jersey remodeling contractors that have their own in house architect, you will provide the New Jersey Remodeling Contractors architect with most of the information and details about your NJ home remodeling project since you know to an extent what it is that you are looking to build. The architect supplied by the New Jersey remodeling contractors will then create and adjust the plans according to your request. Then you will be able to make one or two adjustments or revisions. After one or two adjustments, you would have to pay additional fees for the architects time if needed. It’s is an economical and very cost effective approach if you know  exactly what you want. The architect will then transfer those thoughts into drawings. This process from start to finish moves very quickly and is very efficient.

When you are building a NJ home addition, consult with your New Jersey remodeling contractors about having a cathedral ceiling built. Normally, a standard ceiling height is 8′. If you are building a family room or any type of addition, inquire about having the ceiling height raised to 9′ or greater. It adds volume to the room giving you a larger room feeling.

As  New Jersey Remodeling Contractors,  I can tell you that choosing the right molding for your home improvement project changes the look of your home drastically. Just by adding molding, your remodeling project will change the entire look of a room or rooms without changing the actual dimensions of  the room. Moldings come in many shapes and sizes. It is possible to add molding to your doors, windows, floor perimeters, ceilings or even walls. Purchasing and installing  moldings can be one of the smartest home improvement choices any homeowner can make when looking for ways to bring any room to life.

If you are installing a NJ Home Addition, ask your New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor or New Jersey remodeling contractors about installing a gas fireplace in your NJ home addition. On those cold winter nights I recommend having a direct vent gas fireplace installed. The great thing about a direct vent fireplace is that it is perfect for those that are cut short on time. These days, who has time to make a fire. With a gas fireplace, you simply flick a switch on the fireplace remote and the fire goes on. Do the opposite to turn it off. Remember a gas fireplace also acts as a heating unit. Install the optional blower fan and your gas fireplace will blow out the warm air directly into your family room.

CURRENT SPECIALS

As a New Jersey Remodeling Contractor specializing in home additions throughout Bergen County New Jersey, we are asked what is a common size family rooms that a.re built. A family room can be no smaller than 16×16. A common average size usually starts at 16×20 and then goes up from there. Remember, when you start to furnish the NJ family room home addition, once the couch’s table’s and entertainment center are in place, the room gets small real fast so try to make your family room addition as big as possible and no smaller than 16×16.

Getting that open room feeling in your NJ family room home addition can be achieved even easier by having your New Jersey Remodeling Contractors build a vaulted ceiling. Creating a vaulted ceiling at heights of 9′ or greater makes your family room look and feel larger. Adding recessed lighting to your vaulted ceiling is a must. Don’t forget to also add a ceiling fan box in the center with a wall switch. Turn the ceiling fan on low during a hot summer afternoon with the central air conditioning running and you will never want to get off of the couch.

For those cold winter nights I recommend having a direct vent gas fireplace installed.

Pending your budget, most people install either a French door or a sliding door out to the rear or side yard. The very least, install a small 6′ x 3′ door landing with stairs to the yard. If your budget allows it, install a larger more spacious deck. The larger more spacious deck can be installed at a later time also.

BERGEN COUNTY HOME REMODELING CONTRACTORS- Contractor Hiring Tips

NEW JERSEY REMODELING CONTRACTORS

        NJ HOME IMPROVEMENT CONTRACTOR

Remodeling your home in Bergen County NJ can leave anyone with an uneasy feeling regarding what is going to happen to their home over the coming weeks during their home remodeling. Most homeowners that are about to embark on a home remodeling project are putting their trust in their NJ Home Improvement Contractor or New Jersey Remodeling Contractors to take care of each and every aspect throughout the building stages.

Hiring a trust worthy and well respected contracting company can carry you a long way. If you plan on being a “hands – off ” homeowner during the NJ remodeling project, you want to make sure that you check your contractors references thoroughly. What are some ways that you can do this. Well it’s simple, first off you want to be familiar with the contractor of choice. Have you seen him around town? Do you know friends , neighbors or even town members that have used the contractors services? Also, have you seen any advertisements from this contractor. Receiving advertisements from them only means that they service your area and when needed, they will more than likely be able to provide you with references.

Ask your contractor of choice for references. If you are planning on building a 1000 square foot home addition, you want to hire a contractor that has built similar projects. Would you want to hire a New Jersey remodeling contractor that can only provide references for bathroom expansions or kitchen expansions if he hasn’t had experience building large home additions? Any of the references that are provided, you will want to ask questions to make sure that the references that were given, are if similar jobs.

Another way to check on your contractor is to simply look him up on the internet. Go to the world wide web and Google the contractor. You will find all sorts of fast free information that will be able to help you make a decision if you should hire or not. If there are several positive articles and or pages of information about that contractor, it will only help you decide if they will be the contractor of choice.

Calling the BBB, otherwise known as the Better Business Bureau is another popular way to dig around and gather information about any business. If there are any serious complaints, you will find them here. Don’t pass this up in your hunt for a New Jersey Remodeling Contractor.

NEW JERSEY REMODELING CONTRACTORS- Cape Cod Conversion Tips

NJ HOUSE ADDITIONS

   BERGEN COUNTY REMODELING CONTRACTORS

         NEW JERSEY HOME IMPROVEMENT CONTRACTORS

Cape Cod conversions in Northern Bergen County New Jersey are increasing every year. Hire an experienced New Jersey remodeling Contractor for your NJ home addition conversion.

CURRENT COMPANY SPECIALS:

Have you been planning on expanding your cape cod? Many cape cod owners throughout Bergen County NJ will hire a qualified New Jersey Remodeling Contractor or NJ Home Improvement Contractor to modify their cape cod home.  The most common conversion for a cape cod is an Add a Level. Commonly referred to as a raised level, you can double the size of your cape cod by simply adding an entire new level above. The existing roof would be removed and a new floor would be built. The idea of an add a level is to bring all the bedrooms upstairs as well as 1-2 bathrooms. By moving all the bedrooms upstairs from the 1st floor, you then can remove the bedrooms from the 1st floor by removing the walls and closets. This will create an open floor plan on the first floor. Although some walls are load and non- load bearing, your New Jersey remodeling contractor will be able to open the walls for you and install the necessary headers if needed.

Having built hundreds of add a levels throughout Bergen County NJ, when having your add a level addition designed and built, you want the end product to have a look that when finished, the home never looked as though you added a new top floor. This can be achieved by creating a roof line that will accent your 2nd floor windows by adding reverse gables and or eye brow returns. These small gable style roofs will accent the 2nd floor windows and give a better appearance from the street. Furthermore, you can build an entry portico that will further accent the front of your home. Another trick that we use that helps create a multi dimensional roof line is to add an eyebrow roof on the front of your home. This roofline will be installed where the 1st floor and 2nd floor meet. It’s a small roof that runs across the front of the home just above the 1st floor windows. Between the accent gables and eyebrow roof line, your cape cod conversion will look very natural.

BERGEN COUNTY NEW JERSEY CONTRACTORS

Are you interested in building a home addition project in Northern Bergen County New Jersey? What type of home addition are you interested in building? Whether you want to build a home addition or an add a level, Pangione Developers, the premiere NJ Home Addition Contractor in Northern Bergen County NJ offers the best deals for your home addition project.

If you own a cape cod or ranch, you may want to add a new top level above, commonly called an add a level or raised level. By building a new top level you can double the size of your home simply by building up and above the exterior walls of your 1st floor. If you own a cape cod, you are at an advantage from a ranch homeowner because you already have the staircase to the 2ndfloor. Ranch homeowners need to install a staircase to the new add a level. Many times, with a ranch, the existing basement staircase is located near the kitchen. This leaves the homeowner with a few choices. They will want to relocate the staircase to a central area near the front door. With that being said, you will now have a new staircase ultimately near the front door so what will you do with the existing basement staircase near the kitchen? Simply, you will have to remove and relocate it so it’s under the new 2nd floor staircase. After you remove and relocate the basement staircase, you will now gain floor area in the kitchen where the stairs were.

When building an add a level, you can benefit from building above a ranch because ranch floor space is generally larger than a cape cod. Also, you can in most cases build above the garage as well. Whether you have a one car garage or a two car garage attached to your ranch, building above will increase your floor space for your new add a level. With a cape cod, it is rare to find a cape cod with a two car garage. Most cape cods have a single car garage both attached and detached. Building above your cape cod garage can also enhance your add a level floor plan.

Building an add a level can obviously double your floor space. By building your NJ add a level, you will then relocate your bedrooms upstairs. Now, you will be able to open up your existing first floor plan by removing walls. This will give you an open floor plan.
